The beginner course is offered on both Wednesdays and Sundays, so you can choose whichever day fits your schedule. If you want to progress faster, join both courses! Attending both classes in a week is a great way to gain self-confidence and advance more quickly.
Yes! If you can’t make it to your regular class one week, you can switch to the other day. Just let us know, and we’ll make sure you’re set up for the alternate day.
No, you don’t need a partner to join the course! We have a supportive community where you can rotate and practice with different partners. If you do have a partner and want to stay with them, you’re welcome to dance together during the classes.
It’s completely normal to feel nervous when starting something new! Our classes are designed for beginners, and we create a welcoming, supportive environment where everyone is encouraged to take their time and learn at their own pace. You’ll be guided step by step, and the community is there to help you feel comfortable. Come as you are, and know that we’re here to support you every step of the way!
Practica is a relaxed practice session where you can refine your tango skills, experiment with new movements, and ask questions. It’s a great opportunity to dance in a supportive environment, practice with different partners, and receive guidance from teachers. Our practica also includes waffles—making it a fun, social event to connect with fellow dancers!
Yes you can always drop-in a class. Book in advance or just come and pay at the door.
Yes you can! Our receipts are eligible to friskvårdsbidrag.
The most important is to feel comfortable. We welcome pants, skirts, pyjamas, heels or flat shoes. If you want to invest in comfy dance shoes, we recommend you to pay a visit to Sofie, at Dans på Rosor, Andra Långgatan 22. As a student at Connect With Joy, you get 10% discount.

The Beginner Path

8 complete beginner classes over 8 weeks. Includes the Sunday Waffle Practica, a relaxed and friendly space to practice and connect. You can take your 8 classes on the same day each week, or combine two classes in one week if you can’t attend every week. After this foundational course, you can continue your tango journey in Tango 1. If you already know that you want continuity beyond 8 weeks, you can directly signup to a membership.
